Who we install for

Automatic door installers for contractors, developers and estates teams

Large projects need one accountable team from first survey to final handover. We install new automatic doors across southern England, the Midlands and the North West.

Main contractors & developers

Supply and installation of automatic sliding and swing doors to your programme, coordinated with glazing, electrical, fire alarm and access control trades.

Architects & specifiers

Early specification support on door type, opening sizes, power and controls, so the doors you specify are safe, accessible and buildable.

Estates, facilities & public sector

New and replacement entrances for hospitals, schools, universities, councils and commercial estates, with documentation and aftercare for the life of the building.

Commercial installation

Commercial automatic door installation, from survey to handover

Our commercial automatic door installation service covers every stage of an entrance project: survey, specification, supply, installation, commissioning and handover. We install automatic sliding doors, telescopic doors and swing doors for retail, healthcare, education, offices and public buildings.

Our process

How a commercial automatic door installation works

Survey and specification

We check the opening, structure, power supply, footfall and use, then recommend the right door type and activation.

Design and written quotation

Clear scope, door types, sizes and exclusions, so tenders can be compared like for like.

Supply and programme

Doors and operators supplied to suit your construction programme, with phased installation for multi-door projects.

Installation

Fitted by our own engineers and coordinated with the other trades on site.

Commissioning and testing

Each door set up, tested and recorded against a BS EN 16005 safety checklist.

Handover and aftercare

Operation and maintenance manual, client sign-off, then planned maintenance and 24/7 call-out.

Door systems

Automatic sliding, swing and telescopic door installation

Automatic sliding door installation

Single-leaf and bi-parting sliding doors for high-footfall entrances, including our own ASK-2-E sliding door operator.

Telescopic sliding door installation

Wide clear openings where wall space beside the door is limited, for shopping centres, hospitals and public buildings.

Automatic swing door installation

Automatic swing doors for new openings and, where suitable, existing doors, including low-energy doors for accessible entrances.

Standards and compliance

Installed and commissioned to BS EN 16005

Powered pedestrian doors are machinery. We install and commission with reference to BS EN 16005, BS EN 16361 and BS 7036-0, and design entrances with Approved Document M and the Equality Act 2010 in mind. Doors link to fire alarm and access control systems where the project requires it.

At handover you receive an operation and maintenance manual with the technical specification, safety information, commissioning record, BS EN 16005 safety test checklist, risk assessment summary and client sign-off. Read our guides to BS EN 16005 and accessibility and the Equality Act.

Further guidance: Approved Document M: access to and use of buildings (GOV.UK) and the Equality Act 2010 (legislation.gov.uk).

Large projects

Multi-door, multi-entrance and phased installations

Whether it is a new hospital wing, a retail park, a university building or a shopping centre refurbishment, we plan the installation around your site. That means one point of contact, clear programme dates, phased installation where entrances must stay open, and the same team available for maintenance afterwards. Because we supply our own ASK-2-E sliding door operator, supply and installation sit with one company. See our page for new build and large projects.

Aftercare

Warranty, maintenance and 24/7 call-out

Doors we install carry a standard 12-month warranty. Take out a planned maintenance contract with us and we can extend it to 3 or 4 years. Our 24/7 emergency call-out covers England and Scotland.

Commercial automatic door installation: common questions

What does commercial automatic door installation include?

Site survey and specification support, design and a written quotation, supply of the doors and operators, installation by our own engineers, commissioning and testing against a BS EN 16005 safety checklist, and handover with an operation and maintenance manual.

Do you work with main contractors, developers and architects?

Yes. We supply and install automatic doors for main contractors, developers, glazing and shopfitting contractors, architects and estates teams, and we can support specification at design stage.

What affects the cost of installing automatic doors?

Door type and size, the number of doors, the condition of the frame and structure, power supply and cabling, activation and safety devices, links to access control or fire alarm systems, and site access. Send us your drawings or door schedule and we will price it in a written quotation.

How long does an automatic door installation take?

It depends on the door type, the number of doors and your site programme. We confirm timings in the quotation and can phase installation across multi-door projects.

Do your installations comply with BS EN 16005?

We install and commission automatic doors with reference to BS EN 16005, BS EN 16361 and BS 7036-0, and record the safety checks at handover.

Can you install out of hours or in phases?

Where the site allows, we plan phased and out-of-hours installation to keep entrances open and disruption low.

Do you maintain the doors after installation?

Yes. We offer planned maintenance contracts and 24/7 emergency call-out. Doors we install carry a standard 12-month warranty, which can be extended to 3 or 4 years with a maintenance contract.
